Alan Lock, the blind World Record Breaking Adventurer , Entrepreneur and Ex-Royal Naval Officer joins the Board at BLOWLEAF - the Career Advisors and Outplacement Specialists.

Blowleaf have announced this week the appointment of Alan Lock as their new Business Partner and Board Director with immediate effect. Tasked with launching their affordable Membership & Subscription Division - 'Blowship' and heading up the Resilience Coaching Programme, Alan's leadership skills, corporate knowledge and intimate experience of overcoming adversity will be fully utilised.

“I’m really excited to be joining Blowleaf at this time and heading up delivery of the resilience training. I’ve been through some real trauma in my life with the loss of much of my sight at just 24. However, the experience taught me a tremendous amount about how to not only overcome adversity, but also leverage that experience to take on challenges I’d have otherwise never thought possible” Alan said on the news of the announcement.

Within 7 years of his sight loss, Alan not only rebuilt a professional career and gained an MBA, but had also set 2 World Records, becoming the first blind person to row the Atlantic and also Alpine ski to the South Pole.
