About

“As a Paralympian, I know all about overcoming obstacles to reach  my goals.  I want to help you reach yours.”

After gaining a degree in natural environmental science from Sheffield, Nick, 39, trained as a British Army officer at Sandhurst. He was deployed to Afghanistan in August 2009. Weeks later, on a routine patrol, he was severely injured in an IED blast, losing both legs. He underwent two years of rehab, learning to walk on prosthetic limbs. To aid his recovery, Nick took up rowing. Chosen to represent Great Britain at the 2012 London Paralympics, he finished just outside of a medal in the Trunk and Arms Mix Double Scull. Undeterred, Nick set his sights on the 2016 Rio games, training with the GB sprint canoeing squad and attaining bronze in the KL1 200m event. Nick is hoping to qualify for Tokyo 2021. Nick lives in Shropshire with his partner, Alexis, and sons Jonah and Rohan. The couple are set to be parents again, with the imminent arrival of twins.
